The idea behind the Breezer was born in West Coast beach bars in the late 1980s, where local surfers mixed Bacardi rum with tropical fruit juices and sparkling water. Word of this popular, if improvised, cocktail reached Bacardi, who decided to adopt the concept, which has since become legendary.
