In 1801, brothers James and John Chivas open a small quality grocery store. The Chivas brothers are considered two of the pioneers of the art of blending Scotch whiskeys. Together they created high-quality, smooth and elegant whiskey blends, different than the harsh whiskeys of the time. By 1840, James Chivas perfected his recipe for blended whiskey, using different types of malts from all over Scotland. The result was an excellent and perfectly balanced whiskey. Soon after, the Chivas’ whiskey gained popularity across Scotland.
Chivas Regal 12 Years – Smooth and soft premium whiskey that maintains its delicacy and elegance despite its age. Packed with aromas of fruit and a touch of honey.
Chivas Regal Extra – a rich and incredibly generous blended whiskey. The secret? This blend is made from whiskeys aged in selected sherry barrels, along with a limited selection of rare malts. The sherry barrels used here are unique and rare. Imported from Spain, these barrels used to contain first-rate Oloroso sherry. The result is a deep amber colored whiskey presenting heady sweet aromas. The rare malts used here are carefully chosen from a small number of premium distilleries.
Chivas Regal 18 Years Gold Signature – this premium blended scotch has won countless international awards and is one of the most prestigious whiskeys in the 18 years category. Colin Scott, Chivas Regal Master Blender, is the creator of this wonderful whiskey and his signature is engraved on each bottle. At the heart of this blend is a malt from Strathisla, the oldest working distillery in the Scotish Highlands, established in 1786. The 18-year-old Strathisla malt is produced exclusively for Chivas 18 Years. This whiskey is rich in flavors and aromas, smooth and elegant with an incredibly long finish and exceptional warmth.
Chivas Regal 25 Years – first launched in 1909 and the first premium whiskey in history to be issued as a special, Prestige Level edition. In 1919, when Prohibition became law in the U.S. this special blend could no longer be found in America. During the 1920s the whiskey was all but lost to a fire at the Chivas warehouses. After years of research, Chivas Master Blender Colin Scott was able to recreate this prestigious blend, which was re-launched in 2007. Chivas Regal 25 Years is a mature whiskey with an uncompromising presence and an ongoing finish.
Royal Salute – the Royal Salute family is a unique series of exclusive whiskeys that is an ultimate tribute to strong and successful people. Royal Salute is the first whiskey launched in the Super Premium category, continues to be a symbol of quality and leads the category of luxury Scotch whiskey.
Royal Salute 21 Years – In 1953, the Chivas company celebrated the coronation of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by creating this prestigious limited edition of a unique blend of whiskeys, each aged at least 21 years. Only 2,500 bottles were produced for distribution. The first bottle was given as a gift to Her Majesty the Queen on the day of her coronation. The name Royal Salute, the highest mark of honor of the British Royal Navy, was chosen as a tribute to the new Queen.
Royal Salute 38 Years ‘Stone Of Destiny’ – a unique blend made with a rare selection of 38-year-old whiskeys, the pinnacle of scotch whiskeys. The Stone of Destiny is the most powerful symbol of the Scottish royal family. In each coronation of a Scottish king or queen, this stone was placed underneath the throne, a symbol of power and influence and a confirmation of royal status. Only a limited quantity of this rare whiskey is made each year.
