Jameson whiskey contains 40% alcohol. Unlike Scotch and American Whiskeys, It is triple distilled to creates a well-balanced, smooth, easy to drink whiskey with rich aromas of fruit. Jameson’s balanced taste makes it ideal for use in mixed drinks and cocktails.
One of the gems of the Jameson range is Jameson Black Barrel, which is aged in a combination of sherry casks and twice-roasted American oak bourbon barrels from Kentucky. To create the Black Barrel blend, Jameson’s Master Blender carefully selects each barrel to ensure the result is a rich whiskey with bold flavors, vibrant spice notes, and aromas of nuts, vanilla, and berries.

In 2013, Jameson’s Master Distiller met the Master Brewer of the famous Franciscan Brewery in Cork, Ireland, stout capital of the world. Jameson’s distiller agreed to lend the brewery some of his whiskey barrels to see how the whiskey notes might affect their stout beer. Once the beer-soaked barrels returned to Jameson, they were used again to age whiskey. The stout-seasoned casks gave the beloved Jameson whiskey notes of cocoa, coffee, and butterscotch. Jameson Caskmates is a contemporary expression of Irish Spirit.
