How do you identify exceptional people? They dress cool. They have interesting ideas. They smile at the world around them. They have a 7 UP in hand.
7 Up is a lemon-lime flavored decaffeinated soft drink. Its sour-sweet flavor combination makes it irresistible to his fans. Those who love it want to drink nothing else.
The beverage was created by Charles Leiper Grigg, who launched a carbonated beverage business in St. Louis, Missouri in 1920. He invented the formula for his now famous lemon-lime beverage, which was then called “Bib-Label Lithiated Lemon-Lime soda,” in 1929. The drink was launched just two weeks before the great stock market crash of 1929.
The story behind the internationally known name 7 Up remains a mystery. Some claim it was simply named for the seven main ingredients it contains. According to another theory, the source of the name is the acidity level of the drink, which exceeds 7. This was refuted when it was established that 7 Up contains a pH level of about 3.79, similar to other carbonated beverages.
In accordance with the transition to consumption of more natural foods and beverages, 7 Up has no preservatives and no food coloring, and diet 7 Up is made without sugar.
