George Ballantine was a blend master. He started selling his whiskey in 1827, and since then, Ballantine’s Whiskey has been one of the world’s most beloved blended Scotch Whiskeys. Ballantine’s blend contains more than 52 different malt whiskeys from the four corners of Scotland, among them whiskeys from Miltonduff and Glenburgie, known for their smoothness and balance. Ballantine’s precise and unique blends are packed with aromas and flavors, and known to show notes of vanilla, chocolate, and apple. Sandy Hyslop, Ballantine’s fifth Master Blender, now carries the Ballantine’s torch. Ballantine’s best-kept secrets are passed on from one generation to the next. Ballantine’s is the product of an honorable heritage Ballantine’s Finest: a pleasant and elegant whiskey, Ballantine’s blend contains more than 52 different malt whiskeys from the four corners of Scotland, among them whiskeys from Miltonduff and Glenburgie, which are known for their smoothness and balance. The blend is full of aromas and flavors, notes of vanilla, chocolate, and apple. Ballantine’s Hard Fired: a unique blend aged in American oak casks which have been carefully selected and double-fired to bring out notes of vanilla, honey, smoke and delicate spices. It all begins with the coopers, cask experts preserving an ancient trade passed on from fathers to sons through generations. Selecting the right cask, knowing how to treat it and when it is ready to be used- all these require the utmost expertise. Sandy Hyslop is said to be able to recognize the best cask by the scent only. No two barrels are alike. A special, concentrated blend of Ballantine’s is aged in select double-fired barrels, a technique that adds layers of flavor to the whiskey. The whiskey is exceptionally smooth and displays notes of smoke and spice. Ballantine’s 12 Years Old: a rich and complex whiskey made from a blend of whiskeys each carefully aged for at least 12 years. Well balanced, smooth and delightful. Ballantine’s 17 Years- The True Spirit of ScotlandFirst blended in the 1930s and made according to a secret recipe passed from one Blend Master to the next. This complex and unique blend is made from more than 40 different malts sourced all over Scotland. This blend has a deep golden color, sweet aromas with notes of vanilla and oak, a strong, hot presence and a long, smooth finish. It is the number one ultra-premium scotch blend in Asia. Jim Murray, the author of The Whiskey Bible, has named it ‘best blended scotch of the year’ for the 3rd consecutive year.
